The mission of the Marine infantry regiment is to defeat the enemy by fire, maneuver, and close combat; to conduct other operations as directed; and to composite task-organized units as required in order to defeat the enemy and otherwise influence the operational environment across the range of military operations.

Colonel Roma was commissioned a Second Lieutenant on May 18, 2000 after graduating from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science degree Cum Laude in Business Administration. His formal military education includes The Basic School, the Infantry Officers Course, the light Armored Reconnaissance Leaders Course, the Expeditionary Warfare School, the USMC Command and Staff College (Non-Resident) program, the USMC School of Advanced Warfighting, and the National War College.

Sergeant Major Thomas R. Coffey is a native of Long Island, NY and Spring Hill Florida. He enlisted
A native of Fairfax, VA, LtCol Landers graduated from the United States Naval Academy and commissioned into the Marine Corps in 2004. After completing The Basic School and Infantry Officer’s Course, he reported to 2d Battalion, 2d Marines. Initially assigned to Easy Company, Lieutenant Landers served as Platoon Commander and Company Executive Officer and executed two deployments: one to Zaidon, Iraq and one as the Heliborne Company for the 26th MEU. Upon completion of the 26th MEU, he was reassigned to H&S Company and deployed again to Iraq as the Battalion Assistant Operations Officer.
Master Gunnery Sergeant Christopher Rosetti enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in December 1997. After completion of recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina, he reported to School of Infantry East.
