The mission of the Marine infantry regiment is to defeat the enemy by fire, maneuver, and close combat; to conduct other operations as directed; and to composite task-organized units as required in order to defeat the enemy and otherwise influence the operational environment across the range of military operations.
Colonel Roma was commissioned a Second Lieutenant on May 18, 2000 after graduating from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science degree Cum Laude in Business Administration. His formal military education includes The Basic School, the Infantry Officers Course, the light Armored Reconnaissance Leaders Course, the Expeditionary Warfare School, the USMC Command and Staff College (Non-Resident) program, the USMC School of Advanced Warfighting, and the National War College.
Sergeant Major Thomas R. Coffey is a native of Long Island, NY and Spring Hill Florida. He enlisted
Second Lieutenant Young graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in May 2007 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned his commission through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. He reported to The Basic School in August 2007, completed Infantry Officer Course in June 2008, and then received orders to Camp Lejeune, NC.
Master Gunnery Sergeant Diego F. Corr was born in Oxford, England. He reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San
Diego, California in October 1996 for recruit training. He subsequently completed the School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton,
California, and Marine Corps Security Forces School at Chesapeake, Virginia.
