U.S. Marines with 2d Marine Division (MARDIV), participate in various events as part of the Division Leader Assessment Program (DLAP) at Fort Pickett, VA., June 21–25, 2021. DLAP assesses the preparedness of 2d MARDIV’s newly-assigned infantry captains by evaluating their mental, moral, and physical readiness for infantry company command, ensuring the division places the right leaders in front of the right companies at the right time. DLAP is a key component in the division’s mission to train and certify units that demonstrate apex levels of lethality, endurance, and comprehensive warfighting ability to be employed by their gaining higher headquarters immediately upon deployment.
