Sergeant Major Brown was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in September 2005 and attended recruit training in Hotel Company 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina where he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Private First Class. In January of 2006 he then reported to the School of Infantry, Camp Geiger North Carolina for Marine Combat Training. He was then transfer to Supply School, Camp Johnson, North Carolina where he earned the MOS of 3043.
In April of 2006 upon completion of school, Sergeant Major Brown reported for duty to Exercise Support Division, Twentynine Palms, California. He was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal in July of 2006 and assigned to the Property Section as the Property Non-Commissioned Officer. In February of 2007 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal and assigned as the Property and Due In and Status File Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge.
In April of 2009 Sergeant Major Brown received orders to Marine Corps Prepositioning Program Norway, Blount Island Command, Jacksonville, Florida. He was assigned to the Supply Section where he assigned to the Quality Review team for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program Norway. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in July 2009, and took part in a Unit Deployment with Marine Corps Logistics Command forward to Al Taqaddum and Al Assad, Iraq, where he was assigned to the retrograde team. He returned from this deployment in March 2010 and re-assigned to the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program Norway supply section as the Supply Chief. He attended Sergeants Course in February 2012 where he graduated as the Honor Graduate.
In April of 2012 Sergeant Major Brown received orders to 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Air Group 39, Camp Pendleton, California. He was assigned to Headquarters Battery where he served as the Supply Chief. In January of 2013 he attended Intermediate Supply School in Camp Johnson, North Carolina.
In November of 2013 Sergeant Major Brown received orders to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I MEF, Camp Pendleton, California. He was assigned to the Command Element where he served as the Supply Chief. In January of 2014 he attended Career Course at Camp Pendleton, California. During the course he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in April 2014. Upon
completing the course, he attended Ground Supply Chiefs Course in Camp Johnson, North Carolina. Upon completion he returned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and returned to his position as the Supply Chief. In May of 2015 he took part in a Unit deployment WESTPAC 15-1 aboard the USS Essex where he served as the Supply Chief for the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. He returned from this deployment in December 2015 and continued his assignment as the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit Supply Chief.
In July 2016, Sergeant Major Brown reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina for Drill Instructor Duty with class 4-16. Upon completion of the school, he earned the MOS of 0911 and was assigned to 1st Battalion, Bravo Company where he served as a Drill Instructor. In July 2017 he served in the Recruits Awaiting Disposition section for the Special Training Company, Support Battalion. In October 2017 he attended Advanced Course at Camp Johnson, North Carolina. Upon completing the course, he was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in December 2017. After being promoted he was assigned to Headquarters Company, Support Battalion where he served as the Company First Sergeant and Logistics Chief. In April of 2018 he was assigned to 1st Battalion, Alpha Company where he served as a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Chief Drill Instructor of Follow Series.
In August of 2019, Sergeant Major Brown received orders to 2D Marine Division G-4, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was assigned to the Supply Maintenance Analysis Team (SMAT), to serve as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge and conduct inspections for all units throughout the division. In September of 2020, he completed the Navy War College Enlisted Course. In March of 2021, he attended First Sergeants Course in Quantico, Virginia. In August of 2021, he attended the E-8 Seminar in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and was later promoted to the rank of First Sergeant in November of 2021.
In November of 2021, Sergeant Major Brown received order to 3d Radio Battalion, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. He was assigned as Company First Sergeant for Charlie Company. In December of 2022, he was assigned as Company First Sergeant for Headquarters Company and Acting Sergeant Major for the Battalion. In June of 2023, he was relieved by SgtMaj Kidder and assumed his duties as the Headquarters Company First Sergeant. In August of 2023, he led a detachment to Korea for the Korean Marine Exchange Program 23.3.
In September of 2024, Sergeant Major Brown was promoted to his current rank and assigned orders to take over as the 2d Battalion, 2d Marines Sergeant Major serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Sergeant Major Brown's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award.
