Operations Chief, 2d Marine Regiment
Master Gunnery Sergeant Christopher Rosetti

Master Gunnery Sergeant Christopher Rosetti was born on August 28, 1978 in Philadelphia, PA and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in December 1997.  After completion of recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina, he reported to School Of Infantry East.
 
In May of 1998, Pvt Rosetti reported to Weapons Company, 2d Battalion, 3d Marines. During his tour, he deployed twice as part of the Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa, Japan.  During his tour he held the billets from Ammo Man through Squad Leader.
  
In January of 2002, Corporal Rosetti reported to 3d Battalion, 8th Marines.  He was assigned to Weapons Company, 81mm Mortar Platoon, and served as a Squad Leader and Section Leader during a Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa, Japan from 2002 to 2003.  In February of 2004 3d Battalion, 8th Marines conducted a rapid deployed to Haiti to conduct security, stability, and humanitarian assistance operations in support of Operation Secure Tomorrow, during the deployment he served as 81mm Mortar Platoon's 2d Section Leader.  Upon returning he was reassigned to CAAT 1st Platoon as 1st Squad Leader, and in January of 2005 he deployed to the Al Anbar Province in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.    
 
In January of 2006, Sergeant Rosetti reported to Drill Instructor School, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island.  Upon graduation he was assigned to Lima Company, 3d Battalion and served as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor.  
 
In January of 2009, Staff Sergeant Rosetti reported to 3d Battalion, 4th Marines where he was assigned to Weapons Company, 81mm Mortar Platoon as 2d Section Leader.  From October 2009 through May 2010, he deployed to the Farah Province in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  Upon returning, Gunnery Sergeant Rosetti was reassigned to India Company, Weapons Platoon and served as Platoon Sergeant.  In August of 2010, he was reassigned to Headquarters and Service Company and assumed the duties as the Advisor Team's Operations Chief.  From 25 November to 15 December 2010 he deployed as part of the Mobile Training Team in support of the Georgia Deployment Program where he instructed Georgian Soldiers on FDC procedures, Heli-Bourne operations and various Tactics, Techniques and Procedures on the 60, 82 and 120mm Mortars.  From April through October 2011 he was attached to the 1st Kandak, 2d Brigade, 215th Corps, Afghan National Army and deployed to the Helmand Province.
 
In January of 2012, Gunnery Sergeant Rosetti reported to Special Operations Training Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force where he was assigned to the Amphibious Raids Branch.  In March of 2013 he assumed the duties as the Amphibious Raids Branch Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge.  During his tour he was the Coxswain Skills Course Instructor and Chief Instructor, Assault Element Lead Instructor and the Security Element Course Lead Instructor.  
 
In July of 2015, Gunnery Sergeant Rosetti reported to the Command Element, II Marine Expeditionary Force where he was assigned as the II MEF G-7 Chief.  During his tour, he was assigned to the Commanding General's Inspection Program as an Inspector.  
 
In July of 2016, Master Sergeant Rosetti received orders and reported to the Commanding Officer, Navy Cargo Handling Battalion ONE to assume the duties as the Enlisted Marine Advisor.  Upon arriving Master Sergeant Rosetti was assigned to the S-7 Combat Skills Department where he developed training plans, managed the battalion armory and conducted field training evolutions that prepared the Sailors for numerous deployments.  In September of 2017 Master Sergeant Rosetti was reassigned to the S-3 Division. 
 
In June of 2018, Master Sergeant Rosetti reported to the Commanding Officer, 2d Battalion 2d Marines, where he filled the billet as Battalion Operations Chief for eight months.  During his time as the Battalion Operations Chief he deployed in support of Exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE 18, in April of 2019 Master Sergeant Rosetti was reassigned to Weapons Company and deployed as the Weapons Company Operations Chief in support of UDP 21-1. 
 
In January of 2021, Master Sergeant Rosetti received orders and reported to the Commanding Officer, Weapons Training Battalion, Stone Bay where he was assigned as the Battalion Operations Chief.  In February of 2022 he was promoted to the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant and reported to the Commanding Officer, 2d Battalion, 2d Marines and deployed as the Battalion Operations Chief in support of UDP 2-23.  In April of 2024 he reported to the Commanding Officer of 2d Marine Regiment and is currently the 2d Marine Regiment Operations Chief.
 
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two Gold Stars, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three Gold Stars, Combat Action Ribbon with two Gold Stars and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
 
Master Gunnery Sergeant Rosetti is married to the former Norine Lucinao from Vineland, New Jersey and has two daughters, Samantha Lynn Rosetti (25) and Gianna Marie Rosetti (17).
