Operations Chief, 2d Marine Regiment
Master Gunnery Sergeant Diego Corr

Master Gunnery Sergeant Diego F. Corr was born in Oxford, England. He reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San
Diego, California in October 1996 for recruit training. He subsequently completed the School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton,
California, and Marine Corps Security Forces School at Chesapeake, Virginia.
Master Gunnery Sergeant Corr has served in the Fleet Marine Forces with 1st and 2d Marine Divisions in the following units: 1st
Battalion, 5th Marines (May 1998 - October 2000); 1st Battalion, 4th Marines (March 2003 - March 2007); 1st Battalion 9th Marines
(July 2010 - August 2014); 2d Marine Regiment (March 2022 - Present).
He has also served in the following units: Marine Corps Security Force Detachment Souda Bay (May 1997 – May 1998); School of
Infantry West (April 2007 - July 2010), Headquarters & Service Battalion, MCRD San Diego (August 2014 - July 2017), FAST Company
Europe (July 2017 - August 2020), and School of Infantry East (September 2020 - March 2022).
His Combat History includes: Operation Silver Wake - Marine Corps Security Force Detachment Souda Bay(1997); Operation Iraqi
Freedom - 1st Battalion, 4th Marines (2003 & 2004-2005); and Operation Enduring Freedom - 1st Battalion 9th Marines (2011-2012).
He has attended all required resident and distance learning Professional Military Education (PME) courses, Infantry Squad Leader
Course, Infantry Unit Leader Course, Maneuver Warfare Course, Advanced Maneuver Warfare Course, and Senior Enlisted Joint PME I
and II,
He was promoted to his current rank in March of 2022.
He assumed his current duties as the Operations Chief for 2d Marines in March 2022.
