LtCol Noe, a native of Denver, Colorado, began his Marine Corps career as an enlisted Rifleman. After
deployments with the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, he became an instructor at the Mountain Warfare Training
Center. During that assignment he earned a meritorious promotion to staff sergeant and deployed to the Republic
of Georgia as part of the Georgia Train and Equip Program.
Selected for the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program, he graduated from the University of
Colorado with a history degree, commissioning as a second lieutenant. He led a rifle platoon with the 2nd
Battalion, 4th Marines and deployed as part of the 11th MEU. Remaining with the battalion, he deployed a second
time as the Officer in Charge, Police Advisor Team, Musa Qala, Afghanistan.
LtCol Noe's career progressed with an assignment to the Infantry Training Battalion, School oflnfantry West
followed by Expeditionary Warfare School. He then served as a Company Commander and Battalion Operations
Officer with the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines. Following this operational assignment, he spent the next three years
as Aide de Camp to the US Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee in Brussels, Belgium. Upon
completion of that tour, he attended Marine Corps Command and Staff College graduating with distinction.
In his follow on assignment he served as the Concept Development Team Leader for the Infantry Battalion
Experiment at the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory. His personal decorations include the Defense
Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine
Corps Commendation Medal (with Combat Distinguishing Device) and gold star, the Navy and Marine Corps
Achievement Medal with two gold stars, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
